RESTRICTED (a poem)

restricted restrictions
telling me what i can
do and what i can’t.

thank goodness for them
though, because if not
i’d be all over the map.

a sign here, a sign there,
telling me where not to go,
how not to live my life:

well, those restrictions,
how ’bout ’em? always
there, ready to be broken.

I always used restrictions/rules, merely as guidelines, and never to be strictly adhered to…

    Restrictions breed rebellism…reasoning fosters love

  5. Rules are there to be broken – particularly the rules that are there simply for rules sake – have fun breaking them.
